But that work must continue. Megan is committed to protecting parental rights, increasing access to information, and ensuring families remain partners – not bystanders in their child’s education.

Safe & Disciplined Classrooms

A safe school is the foundation for academic success.

During Megan’s tenure, Brevard implemented OpenGate weapons detection systems in all high schools, expanded the School Guardian Program, strengthened partnerships with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, and reinforced consistent discipline policies districtwide.

The result: safer campuses and stronger learning environments.

Megan believes discipline supports teachers and protects students who are ready to learn. She will continue fighting for policies that keep classrooms focused, structured, and secure.

Supporting Teachers

Great schools depend on great teachers.

Megan has supported competitive pay initiatives, stronger classroom resources, and policies that restore respect for educators while holding high expectations for performance and professionalism.

Brevard’s back-to-back “A” district ratings didn’t happen by accident – they happened because teachers were empowered to teach and supported to succeed.

Real-World Readiness

Education must prepare students for life — not just tests.

Under Megan’s leadership, Brevard achieved its highest graduation rate in district history at 92.7%, surpassing the state average. The district also expanded Career & Technical Education programs, including a $2M+ Aviation Assembly and Fabrication program aligned with Space Coast industry needs.

Students now graduate with certifications, hands-on experience, and clear pathways into high-demand careers.

But there is more to build. Megan’s goal is to expand career pathways across the district so every student regardless of zip code has access to opportunity.

Accountability & Efficiency

Taxpayers deserve transparency. Students deserve results.

Brevard earned consecutive “A” district ratings in 2024 and 2025 with no D or F schools. These improvements reflect strong oversight, fiscal responsibility, and decisions that prioritize students over bureaucracy.

Megan believes leadership means measuring outcomes, protecting resources, and continuously improving performance.

The progress is real, but the mission isn’t complete.

Brevard is moving in the right direction but strong leadership must continue.
